Non-Chlorinated Straight and Soluble Oils

Non-Chlorinated Straight Oils: International Chemical Company has been at the technological vanguard of specialty manufacturer’s chemicals since the early 20th century. Our ongoing efforts to eliminate chemical components that are toxic and environmentally harmful have borne fruit. Along with our synthetic metalworking fluids and metal-forming lubricants, ICC manufactures a versatile and formidable line of industrial non-chlorinated straight and soluble oils. They are engineered for use in medium- to extreme-duty drawing, stamping, roll-forming and machining operations utilizing carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and brass.

Featured Non-Chlorinated Straight Oils:

The International 2801 Series of Lubricants are semi-synthetic, sulfur-free, ash-free, rust inhibited straight oils engineered for moderate to severe metal-forming operations such as blanking, drawing and stamping. The 2801 Series is formulated from synthetic base stocks, neutral synthetic esters and powerful high film strength additives specially selected to burn off completely in heat treating operations. They are formulated with lubricity-enhancing non-chlorinated base oils of varying viscosities, making them highly versatile and environmentally responsible metalworking lubricants.

  • International Compound 2801-B is a lightly viscous metal-forming lubricant, making it an ideal choice for medium-duty drawing and stamping operations.
  • International Compound 2801-NH is a relatively low-viscosity, non-chlorinated straight oil lubricant that is engineered for drawing and stamping operations that utilize carbon steel, silicon steel, aluminum and brass. It includes a synthetic sulfur EP additive for increased lubricity combined with an advanced inhibitor to prevent staining of sensitive alloys. Though often applied to blanks for dry-film applications, the residual film is not completely dry, and will adhere to coated blanks for the purposes of providing exceptional lubrication. The residual film will also provide several months of corrosion protection during periods of indoor storage.
  • International Compound 2801-LV is formulated with medium viscosity non-chlorinated oils, making it an ideal metal-forming lubricant for medium- to heavy-duty operations. It is formulated with synthetic surfactant additives, promoting non-interference with post-processing operations like cleaning and heat treating.
  • International Compound 2801-HV80 is a highly viscous, non-chlorinated straight oil lubricant, making it an ideal choice for heavy-duty to severe metal-forming operations. It is recommended for use as a replacement for chlorinated straight oils in operations which manufacture components for the medical industry.

International Compounds 3800 & 3801 are newly developed, semi-synthetic, ash-less, rust-inhibited and chlorine-free metalworking lubricants engineered for operations utilizing carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.  They are non-staining and are often applied to blanks for dry-film applications.  While the film is not completely dry, it will adhere to coated blanks for the purposes of providing exceptional lubrication.  The residual film will provide several months of corrosion protection during periods of indoor storage.

Non-Chlorinated Soluble Oils: International Chemical Company has yet again raised the bar on soluble metalworking lubricants. Our high performance non-chlorinated soluble oils are formulated with premium base oils, selected for their high film strength lubricity properties. Along with increased rates of robust polar and extreme pressure additives, they are engineered to provide a high level of lubricity, promote fine finishes and extend tool and die life. Forming stable emulsions, soluble oil lubricants are used in medium- and heavy-duty operations where die life is the first priority, but of near equal importance are high film strength lubricity and in-process rust protection. Non-chlorinated soluble oils provide excellent heat transfer performance.

Featured Non-Chlorinated Soluble Oils:

  • International Compound 921 is a heavy-duty, water-soluble, and mineral oil-based lubricant that is engineered for severe stamping, drawing, roll-forming and end-forming operations utilizing all ferrous metals, stainless steel and aluminum.  Its combination of select extreme pressure (EP) additives, special oils, fatty materials and other ingredients provide excellent emulsion stability.  ICC 921 is water and mineral oil soluble, and is therefore very economical when utilized at recommended concentrations.  It provides in-process rust protection and is easily removed in power spray and immersion cleaning operations.
  • International Compound 1572-B is an economical and versatile metalworking lubricant engineered to offer a high level of performance in an array of operations. It is formulated with premium, non-chlorinated base oils, chosen specifically for their high film strength lubricity properties, to which have been added synthetic esters, extreme pressure (EP) additives, rust inhibitors and constituents to provide emulsion stability. It is highly recommended as a medium-duty drawing, stamping and roll-forming lubricant in operations utilizing metals such as carbon steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
  • International Compound 1581 is a versatile, heavy-duty and non-chlorinated metalworking lubricant and machining coolant engineered for use in severe to extreme metal-forming operations like blanking, drawing, stamping and machining operations such as tapping and threading. ICC 1581 is recommended for use with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. It is specially formulated to be compatible with, and non-staining to, copper and brass. ICC 1581 also eliminates interaction with carbide cutting tools. Its stable emulsions provide excellent lubricating and cooling properties.
