Metal-Forming, Drawing and Stamping Oils and Lubricants

A thoroughly researched and developed metalworking lubricant, expertly formulated by a company specializing in manufacturer's chemicals, is the only way to assure the best performance of any metal-forming operation. Demands for higher manufacturing output—in ever-narrowing timeframes—continue to increase within every sector of industry. Matching these demands is the need for superior high film strength drawing and stamping oils and lubricants formulated specifically for these modern challenges. We will fully evaluate your operations, discuss all available options, find ideal solutions and provide the best metalworking lubricants and customer service in the industry.

Synthetic Lubricants: Formulations that contain no mineral oil or petroleum byproducts are rapidly gaining in popularity among manufacturers of all sorts. In many cases, synthetic metal-forming lubricants are able to outperform their straight and soluble oil counterparts. At ICC, we engineer our synthetic drawing and stamping lubricants with components that are non-toxic, non-hazardous, clean and low foaming, highly stable, economical and environmentally responsible. For more than thirty years, we have invested in a tremendous amount of research and development into synthetic, metal-forming technology. Because of the studious, ongoing efforts of our Technical Staff, and under the guidance of our family leadership, ICC's valued customers receive the ultimate in advanced, synthetic, metal-forming lubricant technology.

Straight Oils and Soluble Oils: Among the most commonly used metalworking lubricants, straight oils and soluble oils are eminently capable of performing in a wide variety of metal-forming operations. ICC places a strong emphasis on incorporating advanced technology in our straight and soluble oils. Utilizing highly advanced extreme pressure (EP) additives, bio-resistant components and unique emulsion packages, our straight and soluble lapping oils, roll-forming lubricants, drawing oils and stamping lubricants provide exceptional high film strength lubricity. They are stronger, cleaner, longer lasting and more efficient than any straight or soluble oils available today.

Non-Chlorinated Straight Oils and Soluble Oils: For operations requiring metal-forming lubricants that are devoid of chemical components which are toxic and environmentally harmful, non-chlorinated drawing and stamping oils may be ideal. Providing exceptional high film strength lubricity, these metal-forming lubricants exhibit cooling characteristics similar to chlorinated oils and are multi-metal compatible.

Metal-Forming Pastes and Tube-Bending Gels: ICC's most experienced and valued metal-forming paste is nearing its 80th birthday. Our wisdom in this arena of metalworking is unquestioned. Metal-forming pastes are viscous, highly compounded metalworking lubricants, engineered for the most severe and extreme metal-forming operations. ICC's tube-bending Gels are formulated specifically to be chlorine-free, sulfur-free, fully synthetic and biodegradable. Both our metal-forming pastes and gels comprise select emulsifiers, powerful extreme pressure (EP) additives, and effective rust inhibitors, resulting in high film strength metal-forming lubricants ideal for any severe to extreme metalworking operations requiring these types of compounds.

Vanishing Oils and Evaporative Lubricants: For operations requiring metal-forming lubricants that "vanish," so to speak, ICC's vanishing oils and evaporative lubricants are the answer. These excellent high-speed stamping lubricants are based on low-viscosity, highly refined mineral oils and odorless safety solvents, ideal for light- to medium-duty metalworking operations utilizing even the most sensitive metals. Manufactured components will dry quickly as the solvent evaporates, leaving behind a thin, imperceptible film, providing excellent short-term, in-process rust protection.
